House of Refuge

During the pandemic, we began our free mentoring program which provides ongoing weekly support via zoom. The women meet as a group for two hours weekly, and then follow up individually throughout the week to address specific issues to them. We have seen tremendous results from the mentoring program along with the individual one-on-one services provided, all voluntary services. After five years of serving the women without significant funding, we believe it is time to transition into a physical location: "The House of Refuge", where we can provide more tangible ongoing support to more women. Many of the women who face depression, anxiety and domestic abuse cases tend to need community. So we believe the transition to a physical facility would greatly improve the women's emotional, physical and social health.
