Start an inquiry. We will take it from there.
Every inquiry is confidential. We respond within one business day. Whether you are asking for yourself, someone you love, or a client, this form is where the conversation begins.
Start where you are.
Takes about 5 to 8 minutes. You don't need to have every answer. If you're not sure about something, leave it blank and we will follow up.
From inquiry to admission.
Here is what to expect after you press send.

Your form comes directly to our admissions team. Only they will see it.
We reach out within one business day
A real person from our team contacts you the way you asked us to.
Screening conversation
We talk through what is happening and whether ASAM Level 3.1 is the right level of care.
Coordination and admission
If we are the right fit, we coordinate documentation, insurance verification, and an admission date. If we are not the right fit, we help identify a program that is.
Answers to what people often ask.
Do I need insurance to be considered?
No. We work with Delaware Medicaid, private insurance, and other payment sources. If insurance is uncertain, mention that on the form and we will help sort it out during the screening conversation.
Do I need to be sober before I come?
House of Refuge is not a withdrawal-management (detox) facility. If you are currently in withdrawal, we help coordinate a safe detox first, then transition into House of Refuge for ASAM Level 3.1 residential care.
What if I have been in treatment before?
Recovery is rarely linear. Prior treatment episodes do not disqualify you. In many cases, past experience is a strength that helps shape your treatment plan.
How long is the program?
Length of stay is individualized. It depends on your treatment plan, your progress, and your continuing-care needs. The admissions team will discuss expected timeframes during your screening conversation.
What if I have children?
Please share this on the form. We will talk it through and help you consider childcare, family-support arrangements, and how to stay connected with your children during treatment.
Is House of Refuge a locked facility?
No. House of Refuge is a voluntary residential treatment program. Residents choose to be there and can leave, though we work hard to help every woman complete her program and transition safely.
Who is not a fit for House of Refuge?
Our program is designed for adult women who meet ASAM Level 3.1 criteria. If your situation calls for a different level of care (medical detox, hospitalization, higher-intensity residential), we will help identify the right program.
